Terms governing use of the website and purchases of memberships, events, programmes, products and related services.
These Terms and Conditions apply to the website and services operated by Dr Phindile Msomi trading as Impact & Legacy Collective, with the physical business address 11 Sonia Street, Gillview, Johannesburg, 2091, South Africa (we, us or our). Impact & Legacy Collective is currently a founder-led, unincorporated initiative. By using the website, applying for membership, registering for an event or programme, or purchasing a product or service, you agree to these terms and any specific terms shown at checkout.
If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use the website or complete a purchase. Nothing in these terms limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited under South African law.
The content, format, facilitators, speakers, venues, dates and benefits may change where reasonably necessary. Material changes affecting a paid booking will be communicated to the purchaser.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. You are responsible for providing accurate information, safeguarding login details and notifying us promptly of unauthorised account activity.
Membership is offered for a 12-month period at the price and with the benefits displayed when the membership is purchased. Unless the checkout expressly states that automatic renewal applies and the member separately authorises it, membership does not renew automatically. Renewal terms and pricing will be communicated before the renewal date.
Membership is personal and may not be transferred without our written approval. Access to specific benefits remains subject to availability, booking requirements and any reasonable programme rules.
A member may cancel by giving at least 30 days written notice to info@impactandlegacy.org. Cancellation and any refund will be handled in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy and applicable law.
A booking is confirmed only once payment has been successfully processed and confirmation has been issued. Event and programme details, including eligibility, dates, venues, attendance requirements and inclusions, will be shown in the relevant description or confirmation.
We may make reasonable changes to speakers, facilitators, running order or delivery format. If we cancel or materially postpone an event or programme, the remedies in the Refund and Cancellation Policy apply.
Product descriptions, prices and availability will be displayed on the website. Images are illustrative and colours may vary by device. Delivery charges, delivery areas and estimated timeframes will be disclosed before checkout where physical products are offered. Risk passes on delivery, subject to applicable consumer law.
Prices are stated in South African rand unless indicated otherwise. Any applicable taxes and additional charges will be disclosed before payment. Online payments are processed by an independent payment service provider. We do not receive or store your complete card details.
A transaction may be declined or reversed if payment is not authorised, appears fraudulent, contains an obvious pricing error, or cannot lawfully be completed. We will communicate with you where reasonably possible.
Cancellation and refund requests are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 and other applicable law. Statutory rights take precedence if a policy term conflicts with the law.
You may not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape or copy content at scale, impersonate another person, infringe intellectual property, harass community members, or use the platform for unlawful, discriminatory or misleading conduct. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect members, the organisation or the integrity of the platform.
Website content, programme materials, branding, recordings, templates and resources belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. Unless expressly permitted, they may be used only for personal, non-commercial participation and may not be copied, sold, republished, recorded or distributed.
Participants must engage respectfully and protect confidential or personal information shared in closed sessions. Views expressed by speakers, members or external contributors are their own. Links to third-party services are provided for convenience; those providers apply their own terms and privacy practices.
Leadership, business, financial, wellbeing and other content is provided for education and general information. It is not professional advice tailored to your circumstances and does not guarantee any particular result.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or participation in an offering. This does not exclude liability that may not lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from gross negligence where applicable.
Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Transactional communications may be sent where necessary to administer an application, purchase, membership, event or programme. Marketing communications will be sent only where permitted, and you may opt out at any time.
Please send complaints to info@impactandlegacy.org. We will try to resolve them in good faith. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, either party may use any remedy available under South African law, including an appropriate consumer-protection or regulatory process.
We may update these terms for legal, operational or service changes. The effective date will be updated and material changes will be communicated where reasonably necessary. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
